Tomas Soucek Confirmed
for me,sorting out his permanent transfer should be the first thing done once safety is guaranteed.

Does so much of the unassuming qualites that are needed, works his bollocks off and a genuine goal threat from midfield. Can see why he won Czech player of the year.

Fingers crossed we dont lose him

Understanding is this is locked in anyway. If we stay up he stays, if we go down he goes. All already agreed.

Re: Tomas Soucek
Both him and Bowen look to be solid acquisitions.

I could handle losing Soucek as he isn't 100% our player year, and we would only lose out on the loan fee.

Bowen would be a right gutter, as he's looked promising and we'd end up losing money if he joined another team after being relegated with us.

Agreed, £16m is looking a real bargain for big tommy now

Re: Tomas Soucek
He looks decent, bit slow though. 16m is decent business. He's no world beater though.

Reminds me of Kovac... is he next level?? No... but he'll do for the mo...

Re: Tomas Soucek
Not a sprinter but he is a marathon runner. Players that can last 90+ minutes, can get up and down the pitch and are decent enough in the air and on the deck have got to be worth having. If we get him further up the pitch and not sitting on the back 4 then I think he'll be more productive.

Re: Tomas Soucek
A great acquisition, the all-round midfielder. I was a bit concerned after the Wolves and Spurs games - thought he was a bit anonymous. Still finding his feet, I suppose. But back to his best last night.

Got everything. Power, engine, good technician. Scores goals. Gets his foot in.

Him and Bowen will be huge for us (if we stay up).

Your lack of football knowledge is breathtaking, son.

Morning, Manners son.

Could get a few goals this lad, you do you reckon?

I doubt it, no, but good luck, you might get something right one day.

I believe that the lad is very keen to stay. . .

Yeah well I can’t imagine he’ll be too keen on going back to the Czech league after showing that he can cut it in the PL.

If we don't get our fingers out we may come unstuck for knocking the Haller fee, now that would be typical

Love the geezer. He's quality. When's the last time a mid field player got 2 in a game, from corners.

Great way to bounce back after the own goal against Spurd

Does all the niggly work as well. Reckon he's going to be a cult fan favorite ...not had one of then a while eh.

Now if I can direct you to his 'song' thread

Re: Tomas Soucek
Absolutely outstanding again today. Real threat from set pieces and gets forward well when required too with a great engine.
Real player we have here and for only 16m i think the deal is?

If we can keeo hold of Rice, these 2 could build a formidable partnership there next season and give the 4 players ahead of them whomever they may be real freedom.
